Isaiah 9:6. ‘For unto us a child is born; unto us a Son is given.’
A very Merry Christmas to whoever is still following the Marprelate blog. I am conscious of having written nothing here for eighth months or so, and yet there still seems to be a flow of readers coming to the blog day by day. Thank you for your patience and perseverance, whoever you may be.
I have been taken up this year by additional duties in my church and with Gideons UK, and the blog has taken a back seat, but I have made a New Year’s resolution to do some more writing, if it is only to write up some of the sermons I have delivered over the past few years.
So a Merry Christmas to all surviving readers. In the words of the carol, ‘Let nothing you dismay’ this coming year, for whatever horrors may be coming to our nation in the way of further apostasy in the churches or anti-Christian legislation from the Government, we know that ‘the Lord God omnipotent reigns’ (Rev. 19:6) and He will bring all things to pass according to His good and perfect will in His own time.
Yes, still reading! Like you, I’ve not been writing much. Thanks for your Christmas greetings, which are sincerely reciprocated!
