Mission to Lesotho

Acts 1:8. ‘…And you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.’
Romans 1:16. ‘For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes.’

On Sept. 11th, I shall be flying (DV) to Lesotho to take part in a week-long ‘Bible Blitz’ with Gideons International. It is intended to distribute 80,000 Bibles and New Testament in that time, visiting schools, Universities, hotels, hospitals, prisons, military establishments and anywhere else that will take Scriptures. I shall also be taking one or more church services and speaking at a Gideon recruitment event and a ‘Pastors’ Banquet.’ We may also be involved in personal witnessing on the streets of Maseru, the capital of Lesotho.

For those who don’t know, Lesotho is a small country entirely surrounded by South Africa. It is one of the poorest countries in the world and has two other claims to ‘fame:’ it is the only country in Africa where you can go skiing, being very mountainous, and it has the highest number of AIDS cases per head of population in the world. It urgently needs the Gospel.

I shall be meeting with other Gideons from various countries, mostly USA and South Africa, and combining with the local Gideons to do the work. Please pray for the success of the mission and for travelling mercies. Also for my own physical fitness as the work is likely to be very full-on.

Depending on time and internet availability, I hope to post the different events day by day.
